This project adopted a qualitative approach, focusing on data collection from human service organisations (HSOs) situated in Ukraine, as well as other local stakeholders such as authorities, regulators, media outlets, and stakeholders outside Ukraine, such as resource providers or diaspora organisations. The primary geographical focus has been Kyiv, Lviv, and Vinnytsia Oblasts. To protect the anonymity of respondents' details, the exact details of respondents' geographical locations will not be provided.
The aim of this project was to engage with HSOs based and operating in Ukraine in order to gain a deeper understanding of how their circumstances and demands have evolved since Russia's illegal full-scale invasion in 2022. The project collected data by engaging with ten HSOs and seven local stakeholders, including representatives from the media, local authorities, political figures, activists, and researchers, as well as ten stakeholders outside Ukraine, including those leading diaspora organisations in Germany and Poland. Data has been gathered through interviews (conducted online and in-person), documentary materials supplied by these organisations, and publicly available information, as well as, when possible, attending events in support of Ukraine or activities by organisations. MAXQDA was used to manage material collected and support analysis. Key insights are available to read here. A recording of the dissemination event will be made available shortly.Â
The insight provided and recommendations made would not have been possible without the time, dedication, and willingness of respondents to share their experience, their insights and expertise, and the work their organisations do. Thank you again for making a contribution to this project.
